- EPIC experience required
- Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
Description:
Positions require experience with specific procedures. Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience is necessary. Level 1 Trauma experience is preferred. Travelers are welcome, and an Ohio license is not required at the time of signing. For 48-hour contracts, overtime is paid out after 48 hours. Targeted patient ratios are 1:2. The candidate must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs is essential. Floating is required, and travelers will float to units based on need. Travelers must work every other weekend and holiday. Approval for requested time off must occur prior to submission. RTO will be reviewed and is subject to manager discretion. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Staffing typically runs on a 1:2 patient ratio.
Daily census is approximately 33 patients. The unit comprises 36 beds. Patients may include those with cardiac diagnoses such as STEMI, heart failure, and respiratory failure. Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy and service teams. The candidate should be fully comfortable with assigned floating requirements. Failure to disclose previous employment related to rehire approval may impact candidacy. All required modules related to orientation must be completed within the specified timeframe after signing.
