Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Specialized Nursing Care Opportunity

Provide specialized nursing care on the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through diligent monitoring and intervention. This role requires acute clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown settings, including vital signs, medication administration, and continuous assessment.
• Interpret tele strips and perform advanced cardiac monitoring to identify dysrhythmias and other critical changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately within electronic health records using Epic.
• Float across units as needed, providing support based on skill set and census fluctuations.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current active RN license (state or compact) with no disciplinary actions.
• Epic experience required, with proficiency in charting and tele strip interpretation.
• Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to interpret and respond to tele strips effectively.
• Comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby facilities, with no restrictions.
• Willing to work 3x12 night shifts and every other weekend/holiday.
