Registered Nurse - CVICU

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Contract Position

Winter contract option of 13 or 18 week contracts. Must work minimum of every other holiday. These positions require experience with the following:

• Impella
• Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR)
• Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR)
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Thermodilution PA cath monitoring

36- or 48-hour shift is available. Minimum 1 YEAR CVICU experience required (dedicated CVICU staff exp). Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.

Important notes:

• Will take first time travelers, do not need Ohio license in hand at signing
• For 48-hour contracts, OT is paid out after 48 hours
• Targeted patient ratios are 1:2

Must have the following requirements:

• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required - must be able to read and interpret strips
• Experience with A-Lines vents drips sheaths dialysis and draw ABGs.
• Travel experience preferred
• EPIC experience required

Floating and other requirements:

• Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters.
• If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
• Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract.
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
• Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.

Unit details:

• Working with Tele/drips/vents
• Typically runs 1:2-36 bed units
• Navy Blue Scrubs
• RTO Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion. Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application.
