Registered Nurse – ICU – Neuro

Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care for neuro ICU patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive neurological and stroke care, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor neurological medications and treatments following physician orders.
• Interpret and respond to EKG rhythms and neuro assessment findings.
• Manage patients with strokes, seizures, and other neurological disorders.
• Document patient care accurately within Epic electronic health records.
• Float to other ICU units as needed, supporting overall hospital patient care.
• Ensure compliance with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, either state-issued or compact.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU and/or comprehensive stroke center experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation and neuro assessments.
• Be BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certified; certificates must be current.
• Have at least 2 years of current ICU nursing experience.
• Capable of floating between hospital units based on census and skill set.
