LVN​/LPN – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled LVN/LPN to join our Medical Surgical unit, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will collaborate with nursing teams to deliver comprehensive care for adult patients with various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic nursing duties.
• Collaborate within team nursing or primary nursing models to ensure efficient patient management.
• Interpret EKG strips and perform assessments following tele competency standards.
• Support ventilator management and high-oxygen therapy alongside Respiratory Therapists.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Assist with patient education regarding treatments and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license or LVN/LPN license with active state certification.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Demonstrated experience with vent management and EPIC documentation.
• Ability to interpret EKG/Dysrhythmia strips and complete tele competency assessments.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Familiarity with team nursing models and floating expectations.
