Registered Nurse - IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled clinical practices. Work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans tailored to IMC/PCU/Stepdown needs.
• Administer medications, including IV drips, ventilator management, and high oxygen therapies, following established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including EKGs, and respond appropriately to changes.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and the healthcare team to manage complex patient cases.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in team nursing or primary nursing models, supporting unit goals for workload and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or valid compact license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent ICU or PCU/Stepdown experience with vent management.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required; ability to interpret rhythms and strips.
• Experience with telemetry, ventilators, and high-flow oxygen devices.
• Willingness to float within hospital to support patient care needs.
