Interventional Radiology Rn Duties

Duties include but not limited to:

• The interventional radiology rn is responsible for direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care and identifying outcomes for patient undergoing invasive procedures in ir.
• Coordinates patient care delivery to ensure the delivery of quality care per the established standards of practice, policy, and procedure.
• Provides patient education to assist the patient and/or family in understanding all phases of the invasive procedure process.
• Maintains knowledge of supplies and equipment used for various cases in the invasive procedures area.
• Performs the duties of recording, circulating, and monitoring patients in all phases of the invasive procedure.
• Performs hemodynamic and moderate sedation monitoring, medication administration, and provides pre-and post-care to patients undergoing invasive procedures.
• Evaluates practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence. Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement.
