Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General)

Administers nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician. Duties include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, and inserting catheters. Responsible for monitoring and assisting with various medical procedures, including wound care and dialysis treatments. Assists physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests. Responds to emergencies by administering first-aid and performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

Maintains medication accountability records and observes, documents, and reports patient conditions. Prepares and maintains related reports and records as necessary. Provides general nursing care and assists with daily living activities. Administers topical ointments and medications as prescribed. Orders medication and medical supplies, and performs clerical tasks as required. This role includes guiding and training lower-level direct care staff. Participates in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.

Engages in recreational activities and assists with patient appointments.
