Critical Care Travel Nurse Opportunity
Unit specializes in patients with burn injuries, muscle flaps, and head and neck surgeries. This population is both ICU and Adv Care. Travel nurses utilized in the critical care population. We have wound nurses who will complete the extensive burn wound dressings. Agency nurse will not be asked to do burn dressings. Must have the following requirements:
- Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
- BLS and ACLS
- Vent experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Must be able to start IVs
- Nurses will be fitted for N95 before working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
- 2 years hospital experience / level 1 or 2 preferred
- Travel experience preferred
- EPIC EXP REQUIRED
Unit may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.
Floating and Other Requirements:
- Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to.
- If assigned to MVH, this could include floating the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus, and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
- Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract.
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
- Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.
