Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized inpatient nursing care within IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to adapt to floating across multiple hospital campuses during peak winter months.

Responsibilities:

• Execute high-quality nursing care for patients with complex needs, including stable chronic ventilators.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records to document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Pass online tele competency assessments such as EKG and dysrhythmia exams prior to start.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float across units within Premier Health hospitals, supporting patient care in diverse clinical settings.
• Maintain compliance with all travel, licensing, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, including compact licenses accepted, with no past disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate at least 1.5 years of recent inpatient nursing experience, preferably in a Level 1 or 2 facility.
• Must have EPIC charting experience and skills in managing stable chronic ventilators.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications; IV start experience preferred.
• Be flexible to work night shifts (4x12 hours) and available every other weekend or holiday.
• Complete required orientation modules within 24 hours of assignment.
