What You'll Do ResponsibilitiesAs an RN Admissions Nurse
, you will play a critical role in helping patients and families begin their hospice journey with confidence and support.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting pre-admission evaluations to determine hospice eligibility and appropriateness of services
- Educating patients and families about hospice care and available services
- Facilitating the admission process and obtaining informed consent
- Performing comprehensive nursing assessments
- Developing initial plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Delivering interventions that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional patient care

- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current RN license in the state of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Hospice experience preferred (1 year preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to make independent decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work compassionately and professionally with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality improvement practices
