Nursing Assistant-West Ortho​/Neuro​/Trauma Med Surg

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Supporting patients with activities of daily living.
• Performing patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of delegated tasks.
• Supporting department operational needs and performing other duties as assigned.
• Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of Kettering Health Nursing Assistant orientation.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• One of the following: six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility; completion of a Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; nursing student or pre-nursing status as shown on transcripts; or current employee with Kettering Health.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and function in a high-stress environment.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to comprehend and complete delegated tasks.
