As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support doctors and technicians in delivering outstanding patient care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑energy environment, enjoys working closely with animals and people, and is eager to grow their skills in veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with veterinarians and other teammates to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Provide hands‑on patient care in ER and ICU settings
- Restrain and handle patients safely and compassionately
- Maintain clean and organized treatment and hospital areas
- Monitor patients and report changes in conditions to the medical team
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and emergency procedures
- Participate in maintaining hospital cleanliness and infection control standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of clinical experience required (preference for ER or specialty experience)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask while staying detail oriented in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
- Availability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays
- Second shift – exact schedule to be discussed during interview process
- Every other weekend required
- Competitive compensation – $18‑24/hour (commensurate with experience)
