Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of all products and processes at HEPN
• Facilitate the investigation and response to customer complaints and internal issues
• Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish defect occurrences or quality incidents in the process
• Support the Quality Manager with internal and external audits, customer surveys, and respond or resolve corrective and/or preventive actions and verifications
• Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities
• Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures
• Perform capability studies and statistical analysis using methods such as FMEA, GR&R, SPC, and SQC
• Organize data from various sources into Excel for statistical analysis
• Apply statistical analysis to investigate historical trends

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical production industry
• Use of statistical software such as Minitab or JMP is preferred
• Proficiency in Statistical Process & Quality Control (SPC & SQC), MSA, Control Plans, and FMEA is required
• Experience working within an ISO-regulated environment is preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred.
