Junior Data Scientist

Overview

Dayton, OH – Radiance Technologies is seeking a talented analyst to join the Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) team to support AFRL, NASIC, and other IC missions. The candidate will enhance analytical efforts that use scientific methods such as mathematical modeling and statistics within the AF(S)
IM Modeling & Simulation (M&S) framework by tackling complex decision-making challenges.

• Compose an analysis plan that includes what is being analyzed and how it will be analyzed.
• Build a wide range of models within scenarios.
• Perform verification on models and scenarios.
• Develop and execute Designs of Experiment (DOEs).
• Analyze experiment output and generate presentations and reports.
• Work closely with Government stakeholders and Radiance teammates across the country supporting AFRL, NASIC, and other IC missions.
• Contribute to an innovative, fast-paced analytical effort as a self-starter.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related field.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of 1 year of analytical experience.
• Some experience in Python.
• Experience using analytical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA).

• Experience working with statistical software such as JMP and MATLAB.
• Experience working with DOE software such as Dakota, PIANO, and HAL.
• Experience working with MS&A tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE.
• Familiarity with DoD security practices.
