About the position

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Club Operations at Wright
- Patt AFB. Services as the assistant to the supervisor in a large canteen operation. The position includes paid holidays, annual and sick leave accrual, as well as optional participation in Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans.

Services as the assistant to the supervisor in a large canteen operation. Assists in the supervision and training of subordinate workers, assists in selecting employees, explains work requirements, defines standards of quality and quantity, provides training, evaluates performance, and initiates award or disciplinary action as warranted. Assists in performing inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels, proper price marking, and ensuring security of stock, cash and fixed assets.

Assists in reviewing cash register tapes, makes bank deposits and prepares required reports. Plans and provides for special set-ups of pastry, coffee or snacks. Performs a variety of cooking tasks and is responsible for preparing foods and serving visitors as needed.

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
