Overview

Retail Scan Associate (Dayton, OH 45415) — This is a permanent PART-TIME role. The base hours average 9–19 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) may be assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.

Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).

Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

• Scan barcodes in stores using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, across various locations throughout each store.
• Collect and record data on a subset of products weekly as directed, and ensure accuracy of quantities for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store on a weekly basis, which can take several hours.
• Assist with Custom Projects requested by clients, typically adding 1–2 hours of work per week per store.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines and maintain dependable, quality-driven work to support client reporting.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior while visiting assigned stores.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.

• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi and be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
