Merchandising Assistant Manager

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Maintain seasonal areas, sales-floor fixtures, displays, stockroom, and store cleanliness
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Assist with ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise
• Maintain payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts, and loss-prevention records
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure associates follow them
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain positive, safe, respectful, professional, and friendly interactions
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
• Must meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Demonstrates strong customer service and organizational skills while effectively managing store operations and team dynamics. Capable of interpreting operational directives and ensuring compliance with safety policies.
