MRS Electronic Inc. is a leading technology company serving the Heavy Duty Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Machinery and Equipment markets, IE:
Electric Vehicles, Transportation, First Responder, Construction, Forestry Agriculture, Marine, etc. We provide such industries with ruggedized and reliable Controls, HMI Displays, Telematics and Software Products.
The Business Development role is part of a cross-functional team and will assist the Sales Operations Manager with responsibility for customer-related processes and operational processes. He/she is responsible for the satisfaction of both direct and channel customers and documenting the company’s day-to-day business development activities including quoting, order fulfillment, invoicing, COGS, productivity, and margin control, with the ultimate goals of satisfying customer needs and expectations while meeting the business goals of MRS Electronic, Inc.
Full training will be provided and available, as well as opportunities for advancement and Growth.
Primary Responsibilities- Rapidly respond to Sales Dept phones, emails, web inquiries etc.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and Application Engineers to satisfy customer technical support needs to help customers decide to employ and purchase MRS products and services.
- Creating quotations/Estimates for customers, including timely follow-up.
- Process incoming Purchase Orders, Expedites, etc., including order confirmations.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations Manager and Regional Sale Managers for optimum customer satisfaction.
- Urgently reporting to Sales Operations Manager of any customer dissatisfaction.
- Take care to complete all internal documentation, etc. to assure timely customer shipments.
Manage and control all customer-related requirements by utilizing the tools MRS designates as necessary in order to complete all sales processes.
Use MRS internal software tools for database management, etc.
Use of lists, etc. made available to communicate effectively with customers.
Engage Operations department personnel to assure all steps are complete to make shipments to customers.
Work within any Customer-provided systems
Communicate and collaborate in an effective, professional manner with colleagues, as well as with external partners and customers.
OtherSpecial assignments as may be required.
Preferred Skills and ExperienceDirect sales experience is not necessary.
Small to midsize company experience preferred.
Manufacturing company environment preferred.
Ability to manage several assignments and customer engagements simultaneously.
Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills, as well as the ability to interface effectively with customers, partners and vendors in person and via computer/phone and web tools as needed.
Self-starter and team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
Ability to manage and work with others in a productive and team building manner.
Experience with Accounting/MRP/ERP software systems, Quickbooks knowledge is a plus.
General PC skills is a plus, including MS Office Suite.
