Myrick Recruiting LLC has partnered with an established and growing Propane company looking to hire a Commercial Sales Specialist in the Dayton, OH area.
Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, the Commercial Sales Specialist is responsible for building new customer accounts. Working within a defined Territory and/or Line-of-Business, the Commercial Sales Specialist will market and sell Propane products and services to new customers to successfully achieve predefined sales goals and objectives.
What you'll do:- Prospect, research and identify new business opportunities and work the sales plan to create awareness, discover customer needs and deliver product and service solutions.
- Initiate and lead the sales cycle/process as a subject matter expert and act as the customer’s key contact and resource. Build strong business relationships with prospective customers and manage the sales funnel/cycle by continually following up on their current business needs and anticipating future business needs.
- Prepare and confidently present sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms, to key decision makers. Influence, negotiate and close the sale with the best interest of the company and the customer in mind.
- Collaborate with and engage the Regional Leadership Team to ensure the needs of the customer can be and will be met.
- Communicate regularly and prepare reports on key performance indicators and communication on sales progress within the sales funnel/cycle and achievements. Intimately know customer base and area activity and utilize information and data to capitalize on sales opportunities and recommend sales strategies.
- Resolve any issues as they arise and involves subject matter experts and key decision makers as needed to remove obstacles.
- Own the account from prospecting through to ongoing account management.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of sales experience is an asset
- Knowledge of propane industry is an plus
- Strong focus on new business development
- Exceptional customer service skills and relationship management skills
- Business acumen, financial and analytical skills
- Knowledge of propane or oil & gas industry is an plus
