Our Tasting Room Associates deliver an unforgettable guest journey at Domaine Willamette through pouring wines, and promoting the sale of wine and memberships in our stunning Estate in the Dundee Hills. They create a world-class wine tasting experience for our guests, while sharing the commitment of Domaine Willamette and the history of Willamette Valley Vineyards with a consistent and impactful brand message.

Primary

Job Responsibilities /Essential Functions
  • Greet guests with a warm welcome and guide them through a CHEERS experience.
  • Describe wines, winemaking techniques and winery history
  • Promote the sale of wine, non-wine merchandise and Wine Clubs
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions, which includes guest account accuracy and processing of all transactions, including processing shipping orders
  • Provide general tourist information for our guests
  • Work to promote new ideas to increase monthly sales and improve operational needs
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain supply of clean polished glasses, and assist in keeping wine storage and the Tasting Room organized and properly maintained.
  • Expedite and run food to tables in absence of a food runner
  • Assist with on-site events, and monthly Pairings Dinners
  • Assist with other duties, as necessary or requested
  • Supports company’s effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural, and “green” environment.
Must have
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or similar.
  • A valid/current OLCC and Food Handler’s Card (REQUIRED to have before start date).
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    1-2 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or the service industry
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and on-site winery events. Most of these events are held over holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Thanksgiving
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
Must be able
  • Lift 40lbs and navigate stairs and hilly terrain.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions appropriately.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team. Build team dynamics and synergy across departments.
  • Work independently and be motivated to identify and resolve issues, at department-level.
