Role OverviewWe are searching for a Sales Associate in the Dayton, OH territory to support the Orthopaedics teams. The role focuses on building relationships with surgeons and healthcare providers, offering clinical and sales support, and delivering products and solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining and supporting penetration with existing customers and converting new customers.
- Support sales objectives, cover cases, and maintain/manage surgeon and account relationships within a geographic territory.
- Guide surgeons in the operating room through clinical and product knowledge; present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
- Attend surgeries to ensure proper equipment is available, optimize trays, and provide operating room and sterile processing department consultation.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance, handle customer requests, manage hospital billing, and create/close purchase orders.
- Share customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams; prepare sales reports and documentation.
- Maintain equipment and assets, ensuring product availability and promotional materials are presentable; uphold DePuy Synthes high‑quality standards.
- Focus on customer satisfaction and retention; differentiate DePuy Synthes products by providing unique insights and value propositions.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate Degree, or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experience. - Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or related experience, or recently transitioned from active military duty.
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
- Willingness to travel, including weekend and overnight travel.
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory.
- Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skills.
- Efficient, organized, self‑motivated, positive, and proactive attitude.
- Experience and knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions preferred.

This position is 100% commission based. The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program under current guidelines.
