The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 2 nd level supervisory/managerial authorities over subordinate personnel in the 88 SFS/S3. Serves as Asst Ops Officer. Responsible for overall ops, planning, admin, supervision, & direction of the org. Develops policies/procedures for accomplishment of assigned security & law enforcement organizational mission.

All federal employees are required to have direct deposit. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examination, periodic medical examinations, required physical fitness/physical agility tests, meet established hearing standards and discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- The incumbent must immediately report to his supervisor any significant medical shifts in health status and/or medication requirements.
- Recurring training is required to keep the incumbent knowledgeable on the updated specialized tactics, techniques and procedures necessary for preparation and response to catastrophic events, terrorist attacks and related threats to installations.
- The incumbent must wear a DAF Police Officer uniform as identified in the DAF Police AFI and required to meet dress and appearance standards when supporting non DoD agencies IAW the AFI.
- Must wear approved protective clothing such as body armor/ballistic plates, helmets, personal protective equipment, coats, boots, traffic vests and/or chemical protective equipment, (e.g. respirator mask).
- Must undergo initial job compatibility assessment.
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate all security forces vehicles and installed equipment.
