The Armed Security Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dayton, OH. In this role, the officer will patrol assigned areas, monitor entrances and exits, and maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and promote safety. Daily responsibilities include observing and reporting incidents, responding to alarms and emergencies, enforcing site rules and regulations, and documenting events in detailed incident reports.

The officer will interact with clients, visitors, and employees in a professional manner, provide assistance when needed, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate. The role also involves maintaining firearm proficiency, adhering to all company and legal requirements for armed security, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with best practices and procedures.

• Demonstrated knowledge of security practices, situational awareness, and basic risk assessment skills.
• Ability to observe, report, and document incidents clearly and accurately, including writing detailed incident reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Capacity to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to emergencies, and follow established protocols.
• Valid state-required armed security license or ability to obtain one, including meeting all background and eligibility requirements.
• Proficiency in safe firearm handling, maintenance, and use, with a commitment to strict adherence to safety guidelines.
• Reliable transportation and consistent availability for full-time shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and meet physical requirements of the position.
