The Maintenance Service Technician supports a 302‑unit community in Rochester, NY. The role partners closely with the onsite Service Manager to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards. It requires strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to excellent service.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and complete service requests including, but not limited to, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and support day‑to‑day property upkeep
  • Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards and applicable laws
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance service tickets
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and office staff regarding repairs and updates
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑maintained community environment
  • Candidates with basic repair knowledge and prior apartment maintenance or related industry experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Plumbing and HVAC experience are strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications are not required, but would be considered a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Pay: $19.00 –$22.00 per hour
  • Up to 50% Rent Discount
  • Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
  • Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
  • On‑Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on‑call phone

Hours & Schedule
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Paid rotating on‑call participation required (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)
  • Must be available and prepared for emergency events as needed
  • Schedule subject to change based on business needs
Qualifications
  • Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge required
  • Prior apartment maintenance or related industry experience preferred
  • Plumbing and HVAC experience strongly preferred
  • HVAC / EPA / CFC certification preferred, but not required
  • One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a maintenance team
