A Day in This Role You start your morning reviewing service calls for light commercial clients and small business facilities. The van is stocked, your tools are calibrated, and the first stop involves a high-velocity system with intermittent airflow issues. By mid-morning, you’re tuning hydronic heat, verifying combustion on an oil system, and updating the customer on options to boost comfort and efficiency.

After lunch, you mentor a junior tech through a ductless diagnostic, document findings, and wrap the day by balancing inventory and completing clean, accurate service notes.

What You’ll Tackle Diagnose, service, and repair a range of HVAC systems: forced-air, steam, hot water, oil-fired, high-velocity, and ductless.

Use gauges, meters, and other specialized tools to troubleshoot airflow, fuel delivery, refrigerant circuits, and electrical controls.

Educate customers on safety, comfort improvements, and energy-saving strategies.

Coach junior technicians to build confidence and technical depth.

Maintain precise service records and keep the truck organized and inventoried.

What You Bring2–5 years of HVAC field experience with solid technical fundamentals.

EPA Universal Certification.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Reliability, strong work ethic, and a growth mindset.

Ability to perform under pressure while contributing positively to the team.

Physical Demands Lift up to 50 lbs; work on ladders, in crawl spaces, and across varied surfaces.

Operate outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather.
