Industrial Electrical Technician - Skilled

Location:
Dayton, OH
• Salary: up to $38.50 per hour based on experience
•
Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m.
- 5:30 p.m.

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
- Work in a team‑oriented and safety‑conscious environment, following PJHA process, Observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures
- Work without supervision
- Use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools
- Willingly work all shifts, including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job
- Work from elevated areas (ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc.) utilizing fall protection equipment when needed
- Work in confined spaces as necessary to complete tasks
- Operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, and skid loaders
- Adhere to the published work schedule while being flexible in hours based on workload
- Maintain compliance with all company & customer regulations, policies, and procedures
- Utilize industrial powered vehicles (RTFL, Forklift, Aerial Lift, Scissor Lift)
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical components and equipment including lighting, motors, inverters, soft‑starts, and wye‑delta systems; work with schematics, mathematics, preventive/predictive technologies, basic computer literacy, safe electrical test, and measurement best practices; cut, thread, bend and install raceway (conduit) and cable trays; install wire through raceway and cable trays to be tested by MCA; follow NECA 101 standards
- Perform calibration and documentation of flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analytical instrumentation; troubleshoot process control loops using specialized testing equipment
- Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning
- Maintain personal tools required for your job, including an up‑to‑date documented personal tool list supplied as part of employment
- Meet physical requirements of the job (to be provided prior to employment)
- Perform assigned tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently
- Accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion
- Maintain positive customer and employee relations

- Ability to obtain State Journeyman Electrical License upon meeting state required qualifications and ability to obtain ISA’s CCST Level 1 Certification
- 5+ years of electrical and controls experience and/or 4+ years of education in Electronics or Industrial Electricity preferred
- Must have current valid driver’s license
- Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Control precision – ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine or vehicle controls to exact positions
- Manual dexterity – ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Operate forklifts or other vehicles safely
- Wear a respirator while performing job duties
- Communication/Expression – ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Information ordering – ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to specific rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)
