Join a team dedicated to keeping our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. In this position you will perform semi‑skilled maintenance and repair work on buildings and related systems, helping ensure that daily operations run smoothly.
Position SummaryPerforms semi‑skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or GED
- General knowledge and skills in: minor HVAC, minor electrical, minor plumbing, minor carpentry, minor repair of doors/windows—including hardware, painting—including minor wall repair, general building maintenance, mechanical aptitude, responding to various alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, sprinkler, leaks, etc.)
- Must possess maturity in judgment, demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience performing minor HVAC, minor electrical, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and low‑risk driving record (insurable by the University)
- Monitoring Metasys HVAC control systems
- Refrigerant recovery certification
- Trades‑related certifications or training (documentation required)
- Submit a cover letter addressing each minimum qualification and any applicable preferred qualifications that you meet.
