Maintenance Mechanic Rotating Shifts; D - Shift Diff

Maintenance Mechanic – Rotating Shifts (D) – Pay up to $38.55 per hour with shift differential.

Responsible for the safe operation, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment that produces high‑quality ingredients for the food and beverage industries.

Starting pay $35.09 per hour, increasing to $37.70 per hour after successful skills evaluation. August 1 wages will increase to $36.21 per hour, then $38.91 after evaluation. Shift differential $0.85 per hour. Overtime possible.

• Perform all duties following Primient’s safety procedures.
• Install machinery and equipment using hoists, lifting equipment, hand and power tools, dismantle machinery, move machinery and equipment.
• Precision alignment of machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, scales, rules, micrometers, precision levels, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools.
• Repair, perform preventative maintenance and inspection on industrial equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, fans, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair utility, process, and sanitary piping and plumbing systems. Use hand and power tools to cut, solder, braid, weld, bend, and thread materials and install piping and plumbing systems.
• Perform lubrication activities on industrial equipment such as oil and filter change, oil sampling.
• Work with materials to fabricate, install, erect, and repair metal parts and equipment.
• Use electric and gas welding equipment to weld, braze, heat, form, cut, and fuse items associated with this craft.
• Operate forklift, boom lift, and industrial moving equipment needed to perform duties.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly.
• This is a 365/24/7 operating plant – requiring weekends and holidays.

Rotating 28‑day cycle: 2 days 6 AM–2 PM, 1 day 2 PM–10 PM, 4 days 10 PM–6 AM, 2 days off, 1 day 6 AM–2 PM, 4 days 2 PM–10 PM, 1 day 10 PM–6 AM, 2 days off, 4 days 6 AM–2 PM, 2 days 2 PM–10 PM, 4 days off.

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalence.

• 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferred in chemical industry and/or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with installation and alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes.
• Experience rebuilding industrial pumps, compressors, gearboxes, centrifuges.
• Experience working on lubrication and filtration systems.
• Experience pre‑fabbing threaded pipe and welded pipe.
