About Go Keyless

We make complex access solutions simple. GoKeyless designs, installs, and supports smart access and building systems for commercial customers across the country — schools, healthcare, multifamily, government, and industrial facilities. We are one accountable partner from the first conversation through the life of the system.

The role

You are GoKeyless on site. When a project reaches installation, you are the person the customer meets, the one who makes the hardware work, and the one who leaves the building better than you found it.

You will fly to customer sites nationwide, install and configure access control hardware and systems, direct any contracted installers working alongside you, and hand over a working, fully documented system. You will work independently, run your own days on site, and be trusted with the customer relationship while you are standing in their building.

What You Will Do
  • Travel to customer sites nationwide and install access control hardware and systems to the project scope.
  • Program and commission systems on site — readers, controllers, locks, credentials.
  • Direct contracted and customer-side installers working the same scope: sequence the work, hold the quality standard, and check it before you close.
  • Recognize problems in the field, make the reasonable fix, and elevate the rest to our technical team with enough detail that they can act on it.
  • Work alongside on-site customer contacts professionally — coordinating access, work areas, and schedule changes.
  • Document every install completely: photos, confirmation, and anything you found that was not in the plan.
  • Hand off a working system so the customer’s training and support go smoothly.
  • Own safety on every job site — for yourself and for anyone else working the opening — including calling a stop.
What You Bring
  • Three or more years installing low-voltage, access control, security, or building systems on commercial sites.
  • Ability to read project plans and work an install sequence.
  • Confidence with hand and power tools, electrical and mechanical assembly, and basic commissioning.
  • Experience directing or coordinating other installers or trades on an active job site.
  • Professional presence in front of a customer in an occupied building.
  • The discipline to finish photos and paperwork the same day, not next week.
  • Genuine willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight and consecutive nights away.
Required
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to clear background screening for school, government, healthcare, and secured facilities.
  • Comfort using AI tools in daily work — we use Claude company-wide, and we will train you on it.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship is available for this role.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, work from ladders and lifts, and be on your feet on active job sites.
Nice to have
  • State low-voltage or electrical license, or documented apprenticeship hours.
  • Manufacturer certifications on access control platforms — systems such as Allegion, ASSA ABLOY, dormakaba, Brivo, or Salto.
  • Networked access control experience and working IP networking fundamentals.
  • Locksmithing, door closer, or exit device experience.
  • Prior lead installer or working foreman experience.
What We Offer
  • $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications.
  • Benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer-Paid Life-Insurance, and other supplemental plans.
  • Travel expenses are 100% company paid.
  • Tools, manufacturer training, and certifications paid for.
  • A seat where the work is visible. The field is where our promise to the customer is kept or broken, and we treat it that way.
