FC Industries Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Hydraulic Technician to build, install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components used in precision metalworking and manufacturing equipment. You will interpret hydraulic schematics, assemble and plumb power units, diagnose leaks and pressure issues, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safety. The role works closely with maintenance, machining, and engineering teams, using hand tools, test gauges, and fabrication equipment.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and eager to grow technical skills in a collaborative, family-owned environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and plumb hydraulic systems and power units on manufacturing equipment
  • Interpret hydraulic schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic issues, including leaks, pressure loss, and component failures
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic components and machinery
  • Test, calibrate, and document system pressures and flows using gauges and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with maintenance, machining, and engineering teams on equipment upgrades and repairs
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Order or recommend hydraulic parts, hoses, and components as needed
  • Fabricate and route hydraulic lines, fittings, and brackets using shop tools
  • Support continuous improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and uptime
