McAfee Heating and Air Conditioning in Cuyahoga Falls, OH is seeking a Residential HVAC Lead Installer to oversee high-quality installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork for homeowners. In this family-oriented, customer-first team, you'll lead install crews, interpret plans, perform start-up and commissioning, and ensure code-compliant, safe, and efficient systems. You'll interact directly with customers, explain operation and maintenance, and represent our values of integrity, reliability, and craftsmanship while mentoring junior technicians and growing your career.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
- Review job plans, load calculations, and specifications to ensure correct equipment selection and layout
- Oversee helpers or junior installers, providing direction, training, and quality checks
- Perform start-up, testing, charging, evacuations, and system commissioning per manufacturer and code
- Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues and coordinate with service when needed
- Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
- Communicate clearly with homeowners about work performed, system operation, and maintenance needs
- Complete job documentation, forms, and photos accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and properly handle tools, materials, and company vehicles
- Collaborate with office and sales teams to ensure accurate scope, schedule, and customer satisfaction
