AFSIM Framework Developer

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in developing and modifying the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
• Proven experience supporting U.S. government or military initiatives
• At least 3 years of experience in agile software development environments
• Strong command of C and Python programming languages
• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), and issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
• Capability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance consideration
• Highly Desired:
  Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance
• Acceptable:
  No current clearance but eligible to obtain

• Develop and enhance AFSIM framework capabilities with an organizational perspective
• Design and implement new functionalities for the framework, including plugin development
• Collaborate with government partners, contractors, and the user community both on-site and virtually
• Represent AFSIM to the user community by actively listening and translating validated requirements into technical solutions
• Utilize structured engineering methodologies to assess requirements and deliver reliable capabilities
• Produce clear documentation for both framework developers and end users
