We are pleased to announce the opening for a Software Technical Lead
, who will join our Technical Solutions Division and Skyfall Team in Dayton, OH. You will be part of a team modernizing customer databases and developing modern analytic User Interfaces (UIs). The position is responsible for leading software engineering, data architecture, and system integration efforts to enhance mission applications for intelligence data production, storage, dissemination, and exploitation. This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Lead software modernization efforts, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Oversee data migration activities, ensuring compatibility and functional testing.
• Direct the design and development of modern UI/UX to improve usability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, database, and UI engineers, to ensure successful integration and performance.
• Participate in an agile development environment, providing recommended improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other product technical leads to identify reusable components/services that enhance efficiency and business value across multiple products.
• Increase product reliability/maintainability through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Learn and adopt new and emerging technologies, demonstrating a growth mindset and participating in ongoing professional development.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering professional growth, technical excellence, and collaboration.
• Excel in documentation, including in-code comments, internal wikis, flowcharts, and system architecture documents.
• Debug multiple services across a product, identifying root causes and implementing fixes.
• Work closely with the Program Manager, clearly communicating tradeoffs between technology options, delivery timelines, and mission priorities.
• Communicate technical progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to government stakeholders and program management.

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Management, or similar degree preferred. Four years of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s degree.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience interacting with customers.

• Experience implementing Graph
  
  QL APIs.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS Gov Cloud, Secret, or Top Secret zones.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments.
• Experience with graph databases, including Surreal
  
  DB and Arango
  
  DB.
• Experience with alternative software testing such as property-based/generative testing, fuzzing, or chaos engineering.
• Experience supporting NASIC, DoD, or Intelligence Community programs.

Experience with the NASIC Mission Readiness Environment (MRE) or NASIC Unified Cloud (NUC).
