Senior Software Engineer in Dayton

Job Description

Peerless is searching for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern software applications supporting mission-critical systems. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of new capabilities, resolve issues in existing applications, and integrate software systems with external services and tools in a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment. The successful candidate will also assist in troubleshooting software issues, implementing new features, and supporting Dev Ops and CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment processes.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack web development
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience developing RESTful web services
• Experience with server-side programming such as Go, Node.js, or Python
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
  
  Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
• Experience using version control systems such as Git
• Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA
• Strong communication, technical documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership of project components
• MUST be a US and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

• 10 years of experience in full-stack software development
• Experience developing authentication, authorization, or security solutions (Keycloak, Open Policy Agent, OIDC, OAuth2)
