Jr. Front End Web Developer – Applied Research Solutions – Dayton, OH
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full‑time Jr. Front End Web Developer (with or without prior experience, a desire to work with Artificial Intelligence) located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio to support the Air Force Institute of Technology's (AFIT) Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence (CyTCoE).
Responsibilities- Front end code development and maintenance
- Design scalable data architectures to support AI/ML workloads
- Integrate AI solutions via APIs into enterprise systems
- Build and manage data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and analytics
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to deploy AI/ML models in cloud/kubernetes environments
- Define data models and storage solutions for real‑time and batch data
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong Java/Java script background; familiarity with Python
- Familiarity with ML frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Web Applications
- Knowledge of APIs, data integration, and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes (plus)
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (esp. in regulated environments like DoD)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solutions
- 2+ years of experience designing or implementing AI/ML solutions in production
- 3+ years of experience in web development (front end preferred)
- Experience working in MLOps environments and deploying ML models at scale is a strong plus
