Part-Time Transfer Driver (non-CDL)

In this role you will help support the U‑Haul community by transporting equipment to and from the repair shop and between U‑Haul locations, ensuring that customers can continue to receive the highest quality of care.

We have the largest fleet of trucks and trailers in the industry, and we need a first‑class team to keep them maintained for our customers. We add to our fleet each year, which ensures that you will always be transporting the latest equipment.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
  • Transport U‑Haul equipment between U‑Haul centers, dealerships and the repair shop.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment.
  • Maintain a driver log.
  • Team members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to use mobile transfer programs.
  • D.O.T. certification is required – can be sponsored by U‑Haul.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands

The job requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted).
