Local Cdl-B Drivers

Overview

A Plus Expediting & Logistics Inc. is looking for experienced straight/box truck drivers with a CDL class B license. A minimum of three years’ experience is required. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with the opportunity for an increase after 90 days. All driver positions are full-time. Drivers will deliver products (no hazmat) to a wide variety of customers within the region (ALL of OH, parts of IN, KY, etc.).

Major responsibilities for drivers are safe driving, loading/unloading of truck (as needed, including lift gate and pallet jack), ELD/PAPER logging, complying with all federal/state driving/HOS regulations, and providing excellent customer service. Drivers are home daily and off majority of weekends. No slip seating.

• Operate a large box truck with lift gate on assigned route.
• Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while driving and handling freight.
• Must be available up to 14 hours per day, Monday – Friday.

• Proficient in operating lift gate and pallet jacks
• Strong driving skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures including loading and unloading techniques.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is required for this position, with 3 years of experience.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

• Walking, bending, entering/exiting cab and/or box multiple times per day, safely using dolly legs and pallet jack, lifting up to 75 lbs.
