Transportation Driver (Community Services) - Massillon, OH

Join our team as a Transportation Driver and help individuals with developmental disabilities safely travel to work, day programs, appointments, and community  this role, you'll do more than drive. You'll provide reliable transportation services that help people maintain their independence, participate in their communities, and reach important daily destinations.

Location:

Massillon, Ohio What You'll DoSafely transport individuals to and from scheduled destinations using agency vehicles.

Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Assist passengers when entering and exiting vehicles as needed.

Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety procedures.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.

Maintain accurate transportation records and required documentation.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, caregivers, and program staff.

Promote a respectful, welcoming, and positive experience for all passengers.

Schedule Work schedules are assigned based on operational needs and may vary. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to safely operate agency vehicles and meet Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). communication and interpersonal skills.

Dependable, punctual, and committed to passenger safety.

Employment Requirements Candidates must be able to:

Pass a DOT physical examination.

Pass required drug and alcohol screening.

Successfully complete a background check.

Meet all agency and regulatory driving requirements.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and assist passengers as needed.

Ability to secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely.
