This full-time CDL A Truck Driver role is an on-site position based in Dayton, OH. The driver will operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated or repeat lanes, ensuring safe, timely pickup and delivery of freight according to scheduled routes. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and handling loads, following all DOT and company safety regulations, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation.

The role also involves communicating with dispatch, responding to route changes, and representing BD Transportation professionally with customers and at shipping and receiving locations.

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Demonstrated experience operating Class A commercial vehicles, including backing, maneuvering, and handling time-sensitive freight.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, identify basic mechanical issues, and coordinate timely maintenance when needed.
• Strong time management, route planning, and reliability skills to meet delivery schedules and maintain repeat-lane consistency.
• Effective communication skills to work with dispatch, customers, and team members, and to complete accurate logs and paperwork.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting, climbing into and out of the cab, and working in varied weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience with contract or dedicated lane carriers is a plus.
