The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement supports Bryan College’s mission of “Christ Above All” by helping nurture a vibrant, connected, and spiritually grounded alumni community. This role assists in developing programs, events, and communications that strengthen lifelong relationships between alumni and the College, foster a Christ-centered campus culture, and encourage ongoing engagement and support. The Assistant Director serves as a key partner to the Director of Alumni Engagement, ensuring that alumni are informed, welcomed, and connected to the Bryan community in ways that honor the College’s Christian values.

Alumni Communications & Relationship Support
- Assist the Director in maintaining consistent communication with alumni through phone calls, email correspondence, mailings, social media posts, and web content updates.
- Help organize and track touchpoints with alumni to ensure that communication records remain current and comprehensive.
- Provide administrative support for alumni outreach efforts, including scheduling visits, preparing materials, and managing follow-up tasks.
- Assist in gathering stories, photos, and updates from alumni for newsletters and social channels.
- Collaborate in producing Mane Street News
, the monthly digital newsletter highlighting alumni stories, campus updates, ministry opportunities, and community celebrations. - Assist with social media engagement on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, helping ensure content reflects the College’s mission and strengthens the sense of Christian community.
Program & Event Support
- Provide logistical and administrative support for alumni programs aligned with the College’s strategic plan, helping foster meaningful engagement rooted in shared faith and purpose.
- Assist in planning and executing on- and off-campus events including Homecoming
, Golden Grads
, reunion gatherings, and virtual connections—ensuring events promote fellowship and spiritual encouragement. - Support the development of annual program plans and calendars.
- Partner with Development colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni donors, sharing how their generosity advances Bryan’s Christ-centered mission and strategic priorities.
- Assist in reviewing donor and engagement data to identify lapsed donors, prospective supporters, and alumni with philanthropic potential; support strategies that encourage renewed and increased giving.
- Assist with annual giving campaigns, donor communications, fundraising events, and other initiatives designed to increase alumni participation and philanthropic support.
Student Engagement
- Assist the Director in coordinating communication and programming designed to help graduating students transition into active, involved alumni.
- Support events and activities that introduce seniors to alumni benefits, traditions, and opportunities for ongoing connection.
Data & Administrative Support
- Help maintain accurate alumni records, gather information from platforms such as Linked In, and organize data relevant to donor potential and engagement interests.
- Input and update data and run pre-written reports within the alumni and donor relationship management system.
Assist in preparing information needed for assessment, accreditation, and IPADS documentation. - Support budget tracking and administrative processes for the Alumni Engagement office, ensuring wise stewardship of College resources.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Alumni Engagement, helping coordinate schedules, communications, and project timelines.
- Support the supervision process for student workers or part-time staff as delegated by the Director.
- Uphold policies, procedures, and a work environment consistent with Bryan College’s Statement of Faith and Community Life Standards.
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with Bryan College’s mission, Statement of Belief, and lifestyle expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to minister through hospitality, communication, and relationship-building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency with the alumni and donor relationship management software (will be trained), Microsoft Office, email platforms, and social media tools.
- A heart for Christian higher education and a passion for strengthening the Bryan alumni community.
