Results-driven Production Lead shall assist their foreman with overseeing daily operations, optimizing workflows, and leading cross-functional teams to meet production targets. Skilled in coordinating schedules, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safety compliance in fast-paced environments. Proven ability to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communicator with a hands-on leadership style, focused on team development, problem-solving, and delivering consistent, high-quality output.

  • Check callout line and walk the floor daily to monitor attendance and team presence
  • Ensure all employees are clocked into the correct jobs
  • Walk the line to ensure work is being performed efficiently and safely
  • Assist with router times and final confirmations
  • Work with material handlers/expeditors to ensure all parts and hardware are stocked and correct on the line
  • Fill in for material handlers/expeditors when absent
  • Scrub BOMs and review sales orders and blueprints with Foreman
  • Be available to assist team members with questions, issues, and conflict resolution
  • Work with engineering to ensure proper tooling and jigs are used in production
  • Lead safety exercises (Tier 1 meetings)
  • Attend Tier 2 meetings
  • Work with Foreman to coordinate truck orders
  • Write and manage DR (discrepancy report) tickets
  • Interview candidates
  • Train new hires and cross-train employees
  • Assist with and perform changeovers
  • Help prioritize labor when short-handed
  • Assist with end-of-day shop shutdown
  • Support special projects
  • Work with planning on production/work orders
  • Build first-of-a-kind (FOK) units
  • Coordinate with maintenance as needed
  • Track down missing parts in the warehouse
  • Assist and support other production lines when needed
  • Ensure travelers/paperwork are completed and signed before clean/pack
  • Address and resolve issues in the clean and pack area
  • Fill in for Foreman when absent or off the production floor

Education/

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant manufacturing experience
  • Fluency with SAP or similar MRP system
  • Fluency with Microsoft office suite
  • Familiarity with both high-volume production environments, and highly custom production environments.
  • Experience with Forklifts, and electronic pallet jacks

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand English instructions

Mathematical

Skills:

  • Must possess basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.
