Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

Our Dayton Express Employment is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and has hands-on experience in anesthesia monitoring. You will play a vital role in supporting veterinarians, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

• Safely and accurately monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and diagnostics
• Perform patient restraint, sample collection, and laboratory tests
• Prepare surgical suites and maintain sterile environments
• Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient status and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinic safety protocols
• Support daily clinic operations including equipment cleaning and inventory

• Required:
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work 1st shift
• Preferred:
  • Credentialed/Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)

• Uncertified Veterinary Assistant/Tech: $15–$20/hr (based on experience)
• Certified Veterinary Technician: $20–$24/hr (based on experience)
