Do you enjoy bringing complex electrical systems to life, hunting down issues at the end of the line, and delivering equipment that outperforms expectations? At BAC Dayton, you’ll report to a Team Leader, collaborate across departments, and contribute to occasional Trillium model builds while handling core electrical wiring, functional tests, and hands-on troubleshooting. What you’ll tackle
Turn blueprints and technical specs (machine, mechanical, electrical) into accurate, high-quality assemblies.
Read and apply electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams to wire and verify circuits.
Use multimeters and related test tools to perform end-of-line checks and isolate faults.
Troubleshoot logic controls and evaporative cooling tower components to restore function.
Work at height using approved fall protection per OSHA general industry requirements.
Shift seamlessly between lines and stations to support production priorities.
Bring these strengths
Hands-on background with 3-phase systems (motors, motor controls, transformers, PLC interfaces) and 1-phase 120
Vac/24
Vdc control circuits, including switches, sensors, and transmitters.
Fluency in reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams.
2+ years in motors/controls maintenance and troubleshooting, plus 2+ years of wiring experience.
Working knowledge of the NEC; quality-first mindset and rigorous safety habits.
Intermediate computer literacy; able to process departmental paperwork and reporting.
Nice-to-have: PLC programming exposure and Hi-Pot (dielectric) test experience.
Rhythm of work
Our facility operates around the clock. Be prepared to work any of the three shifts in a 24-hour environment; some travel may occur. You’ll be part of the BAC Dayton assembly line team and collaborate closely with other site departments.
WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The working environment includes lifting up to 50lbs. Standing is to be expected up to 80% of the time. Additional activities include walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and sitting.
Fine hand manipulation of controls is neededas well as hand eye coordination to perform changes. Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Longer than 8 hour days and some weekend overtime is to be expected to adequately support production requirements and company initiatives. Working temperatures include both wide fluctuations within the plant as well as ambient outside temperatures.
