Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – SNFPRN TX - SNF - Dayton Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dayton, TX, US
Join a team dedicated to helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting, you will provide skilled rehabilitative treatment designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and restore functional performance for activities of daily living.
Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting patient recovery while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
What You’ll DoAs a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:
- Implement and administer occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on restoring function and maximizing independence
- Apply infection control and universal precaution standards during patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, and healthcare professionals
- Support continuity of care and contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Promote company values, agency philosophy, and operational standards
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in applicable state
- Home Health or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance
- Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB) preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, and/or push up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodat
