Position Overview
Associate Accountant role in the Accounting & Auditing team at our Daytona Beach office. This position supports a variety of client engagements by applying accounting and auditing principles, preparing work papers, gathering and analyzing client data, and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations across diverse industries.
Required Qualifications- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Basic proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Apply accounting and auditing knowledge on work papers and assignments to ensure accurate data for clients.
- Utilize accounting and auditing software to manage client data, tasks, and documentation.
- Communicate with supervisors on job needs.
- Gather data samples from clients to prepare work papers for audits.
- Verify accuracy of client‑submitted data, identify and resolve discrepancies, and communicate clarifications or escalations.
- Perform corrective action on quality control of submitted work.
- Review contracts, leases, and similar documentation between clients and third parties.
- Investigate industries and service lines to identify areas of interest.
- Participate in recruiting events as a departmental representative to provide candidates with information about career opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting and auditing standards.
- Collaborate across organizational departments and cross‑functional teams to execute goals.
- Comply with the firm’s training and continuous education requirements.
- Meet the firm’s guidelines for productivity and utilization standards.
