Front Desk Coordinator
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational and administrative functions. This role provides essential support to department operations by coordinating requests, managing front-facing services, supporting HR and Workday transactions, and ensuring a seamless experience for employees, students, and external partners.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and enjoys being a central resource who helps keep daily operations running smoothly through excellent customer service, attention to detail, and effective coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Operations & Customer Service
- Serve as the first point of contact by answering phones, responding to inquiries, and assisting visitors and external partners.
- Monitor and manage general inboxes and incoming communications.
- Receive and distribute incoming faxes, mail, and shipping notices.
- Provide first-line support for daily operational needs and requests.
Operational Coordination & Support
- Submit, track, and coordinate IT service requests.
- Manage facilities and materials requests, including urgent or emergency needs.
- Coordinate catering orders, room reservations, and print shop requests.
- Submit office supply orders through Staples and manage related requests.
- Process Eagle Card access requests for building entry.
- Support external business hospitality activities and engagements.
HR & Workday Administrative Support
- Upload and maintain documents in Workday.
- Pull routine reports and data from Workday.
- Process employment verifications and employee information updates.
- Manage photo change requests and other routine HR system transactions.
- Support student loan forgiveness form submissions.
Onboarding & Volunteer Support
- Coordinate new hire box shipments and tracking.
- Manage volunteer forms and maintain tracking records.
- Initiate volunteer background check processes.
- Assist with onboarding logistics and related administrative support.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain process documentation for front desk and operational workflows.
- Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership.
- Assist with special projects and additional operational needs as assigned.

- Generous Time Off:

Compensation
The hourly range for this role is up to $20.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
QualificationsEducation:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of administrative experience required.
- Experience providing customer service, coordinating office operations, managing administrative processes, or supporting daily business functions preferred.
