Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applicants to join its dynamic team in the Hunt Library, serving a diverse population of residential and online students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
The Acquisitions Technician position plays an important role in ensuring timely access to Hunt Library's print and electronic collections. Working closely with the Acquisitions Librarian, library colleagues, vendors, and campus partners, you will support the ordering, receipt, invoicing, and processing of library resources that advance the university's teaching, learning, and research mission.
The successful candidate will join the Hunt Library ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).), serving the Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide Campuses, working regular business hours. Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate the ordering, receiving, invoicing, and processing of print and electronic library materials while working with vendors and campus partners to resolve ordering issues.
Maintain accurate acquisitions, vendor, inventory, and financial records using the Alma library management system and other library technologies.
Track purchase requests and communicate with library staff throughout the acquisitions process.
Assist with collection maintenance activities, including gift materials, serials, leisure reading collections, repairs, and materials processing.
Prepare reports, monitor acquisitions expenditures, and assist with budget tracking and workflow documentation.
Coordinate departmental mail distribution and maintain processing and repair supplies.
Participate in special projects, library committees, and other duties as assigned.

CompensationThe hourly range for this role is $16.00-$17.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.
One to three years of related work experience.
Strong written communication, grammar, basic math, and organizational skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office and standard internet applications.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to learn and effectively use library information systems and business applications.
Some college preferred.
Experience working in a library or similar information-centered environment.
Familiarity with library management systems (such as Alma), MARC records, OCLC, GOBI/YBP, EBSCONET, or other library resource management software.
Experience with ordering, invoicing, purchasing, or accounts payable workflows.
Knowledge of library acquisitions, technical services, or collection management processes.
