Job Title:
Adjunct Faculty - Criminal Justice (Applicant Pool)
Reporting Structure:

College of Arts and Humanities
Job Summary:
Adjunct faculty are responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Criminal Justice
courses in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats. Candidates must demonstrate subject-matter
expertise, effective teaching practices, and a commitment to student success
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses
* Prepare syllabi and course materials aligned with departmental standards
* Utilize the institution's Learning Management System
* Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance
* Provide timely feedback and hold required office hours
* Comply with university policies and academic integrity standards
Education and Experience:
* Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field
* Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice
* College-level teaching experience or relevant professional experience in the field
Preferred Skills, Experience and
Education:
* Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline
* Experience teaching online and/or hybrid courses
* Expertise in areas such as Criminology, Corrections, Policing, Criminal Law, Research
* Methods, Juvenile Justice, or Criminal Justice Reform
Physical Requirements:
* Working environment is a normal business office setting.
* Demands normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
* Must be mobile throughout the campus.
* Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items.
