Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University is looking for two Admissions Counselors (official title: Assistant Director of Admissions) to join our Office of Admissions. The role involves strategic recruitment planning, traveling nationally, building relationships with high school counselors, and maintaining communication with prospective students.
Responsibilities- Execute a strategic recruitment plan to meet enrollment goals.
- Travel nationally to represent Embry‑Riddle at college fairs and recruitment events.
- Develop relationships with high school guidance counselors, educational consultants, and college counselors.
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students throughout the admissions process.
- Stay informed on industry trends and campus developments that may influence prospective students' decisions.
- Bachelor's degree required and at least one year of admissions or related experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage positively with the public using good public‑relations skills.
- Effective listening skills.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with others.
- Be self‑motivated and self‑assured.
- Good follow‑through to see projects through to completion.
- Willingness to travel extensively (8‑10 weeks per academic year) and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Support co‑workers in their assigned territories as needed.
- Analytical skills with knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, Internet).

The annual salary range for this position is in the low $40,000s, with final offer based on skills, qualifications, experience, and business needs.
